About Me

Illustration & Fine Art

Hello! My name is Kit Anderson, and I am a non-binary artist currently based in Yorkshire. I love working in a broad range of mediums, branching from ceramics and textiles, to watercolours and sculpture. I recently completed an undergraduate degree in Illustration and a Masters in Fine Art (MFA) at York St John University. My pronouns are They/Them.

I am enthusiastic about science and art, and when I’m not making something new or adventuring outdoors, you can usually find me reading a good book somewhere cosy.

“Born in South Africa and having lived in various parts of the UK, Kit’s artistic practice is driven by their passion for conservation and environmental projects.

Within their artistic practice, Kit delicately draws a line connecting human relationships with the natural world, they examine various means of communication, and endeavour to form a bond between the audience and the subject matter. They hope to draw attention to, and open more conversation around, environmental practices in relation to our various ecosystems and the species that exist within these spaces.”
